MOSQUITOES AND AIDS
Mosquitoes do not transmit HIV, the virus responsible for
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Numerous scientific studies by the
World Health Organization, the United States Centers for Disease Control and
many other leading researchers have shown that the AIDS virus is not capable of
being transmitted by mosquitoes or any other insect family.

ALLERGIES AND INDIRECT HEALTH PROBLEMS
Beyond the serious viral and parasitic diseases, other
health problems related to biting mosquitoes do exist. In some cases, the
chemicals injected into a human by a biting mosquito can cause a severe allergic
reaction. Allergic reactions in some people are so severe they can cause
hospitalization. Also, since the bites itch, excessive scratching may cause
bacterial infection.
